Strutt ev¹c 1.3.6.3 Release Notes: Deep Power-Off, Smart Push Handle & App Upgrades

The latest Strutt ev¹c software update brings a new way to interact with your vehicle alongside improvements to everyday usability and control.

This update introduces a new Deep Power-Off setting, enhanced Smart Push Handle functionality, improved app interactions.

Here's what's new in version 1.3.6.3.

Note: With the release of vehicle software version 1.3.6.3, please make sure your Strutt App is updated to version 2.7.2 or later.

Key Updates in This Release

  • Customisable Deep Power-Off Time setting
  • Improved Joystick and Waypoints notifications
  • Enhanced Smart Push Handle functionality
  • Bug fixes and usability improvements

1. Deep Power-Off

A new Deep Power-Off Time setting allows you to choose when the vehicle enters deep shutdown after being powered off. This is a highly requested function that switches off the Bluetooth and prevents battery drain overnight.

The current default setting is "At Power Off", this means that once the device is powered off, the Bluetooth on your vehicle will be turned off and you will not be able to use your Strutt App to power on the vehicle.

If you want to be able to turn on the vehicle from your Strutt App, please change the setting by heading to Settings > General > Power Management. Scroll down the page until you see "Deep Power-off Time", then select your preferred setting.

2. Improvements

Strutt App

  • Clearer Status Notifications: Joystick and Waypoints now explain why a function is temporarily unavailable when the vehicle is locked, asleep, or in Range Mode, with guidance on how to proceed.
  • Bluetooth Reconnection: If Bluetooth disconnects while using Joystick or Waypoints, you can choose to reconnect or return to the home screen.
  • Waypoints Readiness: After exiting Range Mode, the App notifies you if evSense is not yet ready for Waypoints.

Smart Push Handle

  • Activating Push Assist in Co-Pilot or Co-Pilot+ temporarily switches the vehicle to Smart Push Handle control in Manual Mode. The original driving mode resumes when joystick control is restored.
  • Selecting Co-Pilot or Co-Pilot+ while electric assistance is active disables the assistance and displays a reminder.
  • Smart Push Handle now supports Range Mode.

3. Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue causing abnormal App interface displays when the device's font size was increased.
  • Fixed an auto-lock issue when transitioning from Sleep Mode to Power Off under certain settings. The vehicle now locks as configured and requests the vehicle PIN when powered on again.
